Admins who submit events will have them approved instantly, since they are Admins. Only regular user submitted events will need to be approved.
Only GLOBAL events need to be approved... Public, Private and Busy events will be approved automatically as they are owned by the user and are only available to other users if they choose to see those user's events.

You should see events under 'roger' that are not in the username= and username=mahmood views
One of them is a PUBLIC event while the other is a BUSY event. You should not see the PRIVATE event.
In the username= and username=mahmood views, it should seem the same, but this is because the events entered my mahmood are in the Global space. In the admin settings you can turn off the usage of Global events for regualt users. This will only allow those with ADMIN access to use this feature. Global events can be considered events that pertain to the SITE or can be used for HOLIDAYS that should be seen by all users.
For instance, if you celebrate Christmas, you might want to add an event for December 25th that repeats every year. You'd also want to make this event GLOBAL so everyone visiting your site would see it.
An event for your Mom's birthday on the other hand, would be better set to Public, Busy or Private, depending on who you wanted to be able to view it. If it was set to Public, then anyone who views your calendar would be able to see the event. If it was marked as BUSY, then people would be able to see that you had an obligation for that day but would not be able to tell what that obligation was. If it was set to PRIVATE, then only you would be able to see that event. |
